SRMC provides a comprehensive program, from emergency care for stroke to
neurosurgery and rehabilitation. The stroke program uses special rapid-response
protocols for “brain attack”, including intervention with t-PA, the blood
clot-dissolving drug. A surgery suite dedicated to neuro cases, including
spine, and a dedicated inpatient care unit are other features of SRMC’s
commitment to neurocare. SRMC also takes part in research on emerging
drug therapies for stroke and seeks to increase public awareness through
regular stroke-risk screenings in the community.
